- offering a premier location for business
investment and growth.
Located 12km from the Melbourne CBD (at its closest point) and with

Opportunities
for Investment
Manufacturing
The most productive industry in Brimbank
with the most employment in food product
manufacturing.
Brimbank has competitive advantages in
manufacturing activities, including metal,
textile and clothing, and polymer and rubber
products. Areas for high employment growth
include fabricated metal, beverage and tobacco,
and basic chemical and chemical products.
Brimbank businesses include ARC, Boral,
Vinidex, Akzo Nobel, Ausreo and Rio
Industrial Group.
Health Care and Social Assistance
The fastest growing industry in Brimbank by
employment. Continued population growth
and an ageing population across metropolitan
Melbourne means that demand for healthcare
and social assistance services will continue to
increase. Council has identified the Sunshine
Health, Wellbeing and Education Precinct
(SHWEP) for future growth and development
in health, education and ancillary services
and development.
Brimbank businesses include Western
Health, IPC Health, Global Medical Solutions
and Fronditha Care.
Transport, Postal
and Warehousing
Continued growth in
e-commerce and logistics
combined with locational advantages
and appropriately zoned land has made
Brimbank a preferred location.
Brimbank businesses include MacGregor
Logistics, Northline Logistics, Bell Total
Logistics and Tasman Logistics Services.
Professional and Business Services
The Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) includes
a stop at Sunshine and the development of
the Sunshine Super Hub. These and other
city transformational projects will increase
the profile of Sunshine and Brimbank, making
Sunshine and other town centres increasingly
attractive as a business location.
Notable professional and business
services based in Brimbank are Kennedy
Guy, Douglas Kay, Next DC, Metronode
(part of Equinix), Digital Realty and Airtrunk.
Visitor economy
Brimbank is well placed to attract more
visitation.
The advantages of Brimbank is linked to
its multicultural community and social
fabric, strong business base and retail and
hospitality offering. Major infrastructure
and land use investment, like the Melbourne
Airport Rail, will create major opportunities
for growth in visitation.
