Councillor And Candidate Request for Information Register – Election (Caretaker) Period
This register is required to be kept by Council under rule 6.4.2 of Brimbank City Council’s Governance Rules. It will be published
on Council’s website on a weekly basis to ensure full transparency around what types of information is being requested and what
the organisation’s response has been.
The caretaker period commences at 12pm Tuesday 17 September 2024 and will conclude at 6pm Saturday 26 October 2024.

Seeking confirmation that regarding use of council
resources, including Council logo, for electioneering
purposes.
I advise that the following relevant provisions from Council's Election
Period Policy relate use of Council resources and logo:
Section 6.7 - Use of Council Resources:
Council resources, including but not limited to clothing or items
bearing the Council logo, must only be used for official Councillor
duties and not for election campaigns.
Section 6.7.3 - Council Branding and Stationery:
Council branding, logos, and letterheads cannot be used in any
way as part of a candidate’s election campaign. These resources
are strictly for normal Council business.

Requesting information regarding the Derrimut factory
chemical fire on 10 July 2024.
Council has written to the CEO of the EPA and WorkSafe requesting a
community information session.
The EPA have advised that they will be holding a community
information session at 6.00pm, 14 October 2024 at Sassella Park Hall,
119 Station Road, Deer Park to discuss the science report in relation
to the fire. They also advised that partner agencies have been invited.
